Unfortunately, our meeting didn't take place. We'd agreed on the day, time, and address in advance, but upon arrival, it turned out Nicole wasn't expecting me; I needed to confirm the meeting in the morning. This hadn't been mentioned in the preliminary correspondence, so I considered the arrangement final.

I waited for about twenty minutes outside, then discovered the hot water was out, making the meeting impossible. This was a significant disappointment for me: a rare free day, preparation, taxi expenses, and the wait to meet this very person.

Nicole apologized and offered to go out and meet her—for that, I'm grateful. The conversation was pleasant, although the organization didn't work out this time. I would have really liked to have been informed in advance about the need for confirmation and changes to plans.
